Musical Mingle, June 2016, 8

Hey sweethearts!

For this month, my list of songs will be pretty short. Only six songs, to be exact. I don't particularly have a good reason, it's just that I have not been listening to much music recently. However, it is safe to say that when I do take the time to play a song, it is one of these six.

I really hope you enjoy!

And when she screams out in pain and agony, she is not heard. It falls on deaf ears into a void of darkness. They can not catch the sound her pain because she keeps it in, internalizing her sorrow. They cannot understand it because they do not understand her.

TMI Tag l Candidlyliz

Hi sweets!

I am officially done with school which mean I am FINALLY able to begin writing freely again. The very first thing I want to post, however, is this TMI Tag. I was nominated by Clare from Pale and Interesting ages ago, but life always got in the way of my sitting down and answering them.

So, without further adieu, let's get on with the questions!

Musical Mingle, May 2016, 7

Hello my precious beauties that read this blog!

I know, I know, I has been a long while since I have blogged. I am taking my final national exams this week so I have zero time to write. I just thought I should post this Musical Mingle since they are a few of my favourite songs ever and I have been writing it for approximately three months! Sorry!!! I could just never get to posting it.

I realize this isn't the best written mingle that I have produced, but I hope that you look past that and focus on the music. I have been super busy and I just do not have the time to make it as amazing as I typically do.

I hope you enjoy this mingle. The songs are some of the best I have ever put up here, and, maybe some of them will surprise you? I hope you all enjoy the music!

Why don't you hear them for your self?

Liebster Award l CandidlyLiz

Hey there lovely readers of my blog! I am back! After my little break from blogging, I am back and ready to role!
It has come to my attention that I have been nominated by the amazing, aussi blogger, Molly K, for the Liebster Award. So, I decided it would be a great a way to kick of my new start! I hadn't a clue what the Liebster Award actually was, so I went online to find quite a few variations. The gist that each website told me, however, is to answer the questions, tell 11 facts about myself, nominate other bloggers, and give them 11 questions. Pretty simple. So let's get started, shall we?

Things To Do On A Winter Night

Bonjour all you lovely humans that read this blog.

Assuming that you are all [relatively] productive and contribute to society, sometimes, we just need a break... Or hiatus from the living. Whichever works for you. It's certainly cooled substantially which, in my books, calls for a bit of a settle down. These are just a few of the things you may find me doing on a winter night.

Hey loves! How is it going?
This week, I have something very incredibly special for you all. As you probably noticed by the title, it is a collab! MollyK2 is an amazing aussie teen blogger who focuses on food, beauty and lifestyle. We both discovered that we love Christmas and thus, this collab was born. On her blog, she will be making food and drinks holiday themed and on my blog, I will be doing easy Christmas gifts for you procrastinators and a few outfits also. Check her post out, here!

Each of these gifts are super quick and easy and will not cost you much at all. No more than five materials are used in each gift. They are fantastic for stocking stuffers or a sibling you don't feel like spending a ton of money on.

Oreo Christmas Coal

Salut my lovelies! Have you been naughty or nice this year? If you have been naughty, this is the treat for you!

Have you ever made rice krispies? If you have, you should be pretty familiar with the process. These edible coals are exactly the same. To make them, simply replace the puffed rice with crushed oreos! In a pinch, these treats are perfect. They are great for last minute Christmas get togethers, or a simple holiday movie night with friends and family. I am sure leaving these as an alternative to cookies on the table will be sure to bring a large smile to anyone. Beware... These bars are so chewy and delicious. One is simply not enough. I guarantee you will become addicted.

You can use any sandwich cookie. I have never tried it so I cannot say much on the matter, but if you do try a different type of cookie, please do comment! I prefer these better straight out of the refrigerator when they are still super firm instead of room temperature. In terms of serving size, I initially made 12 but decided to cut them in half. I just think it makes for a more enjoyable experience.

Recharge Your Battery

Hello my lovelies! How are the wonders of life treating you? I am doing just swell if anyone would like to know.
Anyways, before I stray too far, I must introduce my topic. Recharging Your Battery. This is such an importance of well being. I find it so important to go away by myself every once and a while to cool off especially after a long week. Who knows, maybe calming yourself for a bit will keep you from strangling somebody. We wouldn't want that to happen, now would we? Keep in mind, I know, very well, that it is not possible to do this every week or even every other week. Oftentimes, I won't do them all and only do one or two. I just think they are important to keep as a wild card to help keep sane. So, with that being said, here are my tips and tricks that I often use at the end of the week to recharge my battery and chill out.

Hey Hey my loves!
I hope all is well! I realize it is nearly the middle of November and for that, I am terribly sorry. I got caught up in another post and the preparation for another. For the month of October, I wanted to do my favorite type of music. Sad and Slow songs!! I can't express properly how this type of music makes me feel. I have been waiting till Fall/ Winter to share it with you because I feel like it is the best time of year for this type of music to play in the background. ;-). These songs, as per usual, are placed in no particular order. So cuddle up in your favourite sweater and blanket with a beverage of choice and let's get this playlist started!

Fall Favourites, 2015

Bonjour tout le monde!
I don't know why I spoke in french. I was feeling chipper so it just came out. I refuse to delete it. Anyway, let's talk about fall! Technically, where I live, we do not have much of a fall. However, I do love the cooler weather and everything that accompanies it. This autumn, I have discovered so many amazing shows, foods, clothing and an other items that have made my life so awesome. Also, before we get into my favourites, I would like to point out that I am once again high from doughnuts. My dad has been bringing them home a lot and I, obviously, haven't been refusing. Keep watch! There are more amazing fall posts to come! I hope you all enjoy! Comment below; what are your fall favourites?

Untitled

Music has such a special place in my heart. Listening to music makes me feel better than when nothing else could. When I am gloomy or distressed, I love to take the weight off of my feet and park myself in my closet and listen to my favorite artists. The sound that encompasses the small space of my closet gives me such comfort and gives me a positive mind. I can tune everyone out and get lost in music for hours. The instruments and voices mesmerize me. When my favorite playlist is playing, I cannot pull myself away; I have lost all need to do anything else while it is on. Life, for me, is so much more enjoyable with music and sounds to fill my heart when I cannot do so myself.

Cinnamon Roll Pound Cake w/ Cinnamon Glaze

Hey babes!
As promised, this will be a recipe post. It is a solid bit into September and with it comes fall desserts! So, I didn't want to throw pumpkin or apples immediately at you. Instead, I am sharing a different version of a classic favorite. Cinnamon Rolls. However, it is in cake form. Yup! Since it is still much too hot to labor in the kitchen over yeast, this cake is great! It takes but a few minutes and you can pop it into the oven and have a cake that tastes just like in cinnamon roll in no time!

I found this recipe over on Pinterest... Of course. I had been wanting to try out a pound cake recipe. The original recipe is from one of my absolute favorite food websites, LeCremeDeLaCrumb. She made hers with a frosting. I made a glaze. However, both taste delicious. It really depends on your preferred sugar and sweetness. I had an amazing time making it and has since made a few times. This Cinnamon Roll Pound Cake is a great coffee cake or companion with tea or coffee. It is also a smashing hit at brunch gatherings. I hope you enjoy!

Stay Positive

Hey loves! Before school starts completely, I wanted to get one more entry as a "part 2.0" to my Back To School post. I know as a teenager, I really dislike a ton of my classes. Therefore, when the day arrives, Monday, for example, I am not very happy or excited for the day ahead. It really amusing to reflect on this as I am getting ready for my day. There are loads by loads of other teenagers and even young adults that struggle with this exact lack of positivity. You can see it as you scroll through Twitter and Instagram, and browse over Youtube and bloggers. The negative energy just flows through us and out our mouths and fingertips. Keep in mind, I am in no way an expert with the whole positive act. However, I am really trying to be more cheerful. Oftentimes, I find myself wishing I didn't feel negative, resentful, or irritable. What can I do to help this? These 6 tips are what I came up with.  I hope they help!

Back To School

School is nearly here. Unfortunately. Textbooks. Teachers. Homework. Odd Classmates. Eventually Exams. Oh, the terror! These are a few things to get you through this semester. I hope you find them helpful!

Who Am I?

We are all brave until we realize the cockroach flies...

Who Am I???

This is a question I and many other fellow teenagers have such a hard time with. What defines me? Sure, I know my name, my parents, my religion, address, schooling, hobbies etc. But does that make me? Do those simple (more or less) everyday parts of me make the person I am and becoming? What about the other part of me that sometimes shows even though I really really don't want it to show? Despite my exterior, I am not actually thick-skinned. I am hurt very easily by words and actions. I am not very courageous. I do not trust many and, as a result, I do not have many friends that I can actually call mine. I am afraid of being afraid. Am I actually as kind as everyone says I am? And what about secret talents and hobbies that I hide from the world? Would those also be included in my answer?

I had a bit of a difficult time writing my About Me page. More times than I can remember, I asked myself " Is that really true""Does that matter?" Although everything that I wrote on the page is true, I really don't know if that is really a summary of me. However, I suspect that is why it is called an About Me and gives a few details about yourself instead of asking 'who are yo?' and leaving an essay.

Before I started my blog last year, I had even more trouble answering that question than I do now. Who Am I? I wish I could give you a cohesive, comprehensive, answer, but at this very moment, I just cannot.

I hope in there near future I can make a part two and give you an appropriate answer. Until then, I hope all stays well.

This post was made on impulse I really hope it is understandable and not just my questionable mind blabbering.

Q: Do you know who you are?

Xx Love always xX
